Turning ideas into assets

Patent Intelligence

The results of a Patent Intelligence may be used in many connections, depending on the focus of the searches, e.g.

  • As background material for the preparation of product strategies and targeting of development efforts
  • To position oneself at the forefront of global technological development and thus avoid fruitless investment in the development of known/outdated technology
  • To strengthen the negotiating position of one's business as regards investors, board of directors, etc.
  • As a powerful strategic tool in connection with acquisition and sale of businesses
  • To identify potential co-operators
  • To map out competitive behaviour and market conditions in connection with the planning of marketing strategies.

Product characteristics

A Patent Intelligence is an individually adapted product which may provide information about specific conditions in relation to technological or market-related development. The analysis typically focuses on a technical field, a product group, a competitor or on an entire business sector.

A Patent Intelligence may, depending on the focus area, e.g. provide information about:

  • The global invention activities of a business sector and identification of the most active businesses in terms of inventions
  • Patent strategies of businesses
  • Patent development within technical fields
  • Important patents and technological development trends
  • Trademark strategies of businesses
  • Development within utility model and design protection
  • The analyses are tailored to meet specific information requirements.

The results of the search will be presented in an annotated report with surveys, graphs and/or histograms, perhaps supplemented with annexes containing detailed information.

Delivery

Delivery time depends on the scope of the task. Normally, the report will be delivered within 1 month.

Prices

The price of a Patent Intelligence depends on the scope of the request and the level of detail. The price is based on on-line expenses and on hours spent (DKK 1050 per hour).

The above prices are exclusive of VAT.
