Name searches in relation to patents, utility models, trademarks and designs
A name search may be used
- To obtain additional knowledge about competitors’ inventions, rights and development strategies
- To reduce the potential risk of an infringement case with injunction and claim for damages from a competitor
- To obtain better possibilities of planning development activities and thereby reduce the risk of making fruitless investments
- To check the credibility of advertisements and brochures
- To obtain an overview of rights in connection with business acquisitions
- To discover future marketing of new products
Product characteristics
A name search will disclose whether a business or an individual is the holder of rights in one or more countries within the field of patents, utility models, trademarks and designs.

- Any accompanying documents related to the contents of the name search
