Scanning of trademarks
Scanning of trademarks may be used as
- A preliminary search prior to applying for registration
- A speedy clarification as to whether many similar trademarks exist
- A basis for a preliminary sorting of several proposals for new trademarks
- A clarification of whether a contemplated company name has already been applied for or registered as a trademark
- Inspiration when creating new trademarks
- A precursor of a more thorough search of a trademark
Product characteristics
Scanning of trademarks is performed as a database search for registered trademarks and trademark rights applied for which include a certain string of letters or a figurative element (logo scanning). Scanning for a string of letters may be performed for Denmark and for a number of other countries. The scope will be agreed upon in each individual case.
The result of the search consists of an overview of applied or registered trademarks which include the string of letters or the figurative element searched for.
Delivery
Delivery will normally take place within 10 working days. Urgent delivery may be agreed upon against an additional charge.
Prices
The price of scanning trademarks in Denmark is DKK 1050 in the first class. The price of scanning in further classes is DKK 525 per class.
When scanning trademarks in foreign countries, the price of scanning in one country (including Community or Madrid Protocol marks) in 1-3 classes is DKK 2,500. The price of scanning in each additional country is DKK 1050, and in each additional class DKK 1,050. The price of scanning in all countries available via commercial databases in 1-3 classes is DKK 6,000.
For a logo scanning in Denmark, the price is DKK 3,150 including the first 25 references. The price of additional references is DKK 500 per 25 references.
