Beta version of TMview goes live on 16th November
A Beta version of TMview, providing free access to more than 5 million trade marks, is now available online at http://www.tmview.europa.eu.
This new service, product of the collaboration between OHIM, WIPO, and the Benelux, Czech, Danish, Italian, Portuguese and UK IP Offices, is designed to simultaneously search, free of charge, the databases of existing trade marks held by those same collaborating offices. The trade mark information from eight other European IP Offices should be available between end 2009 and early 2010 - and more will come at a later stage.
This Beta version should allow for the fine tuning of the official release that is planned for early 2010. The project team is eager to receive your comments: TMview offers a “User form” where you can describe any malfunctions or suggest improvements. For issues related to the information published on the trade marks as such, please contact the corresponding offices listed on the Contact page directly.
You are kindly invited to visit TMview and to communicate your first impressions. The available tutorials will show you the basic steps if you are unsure on how to use TMview.
