IT Infrastructure
DKPTO has developed IT infrastructure in institutions similar to DKPTO (National Patent Offices) and in institutions working with IP and IP enforcement. DKPTO has also developed common data bases that cover the need for electronic exchange of information between a number of IPR enforcement institutions. DKPTO has worked with and developed IT infrastructure solutions in Bulgaria, Poland, India and Romania.
IT infrastructure projects are always developed in close cooperation with the beneficiary institutions. The components of IT infrastructure projects could include:
• Creating an overview of present databases, identifying the users
• Assessing the user requirements
• Developing the system definition
• Outlining the database design, the application design and the loading
• Testing the system
• Clarifying the operational maintenance.
