Turning ideas into assets

Extension of our PPH with Canada

On 1 October 2009 we commenced a two-year Patent Prosecution Highway pilot project (PPH) with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) which enabled applicants whose claims have been determined allowable in a patent application filed at one of the two offices to have the corresponding application filed at the other office advanced out of turn for examination.

Following the initial trial period, the DKPTO and the CIPO have agreed to extend the PPH pilot program in its current state for additional two years in order to collect more information before any formal decision on a possible permanent implementation of the program is made.
