New PPH programs between the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (ROSPATENT)

The Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) and the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (ROSPATENT) are launching a PPH pilot and a PCT-PPH program commencing 1 February 2012.

Under the Patent Prosecution Highway, an applicant receiving an Office Action from the DKPTO or ROSPATENT stating that at least one claim in a patent application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability may request that the other patent office fast track the examination of corresponding claims in the corresponding applications.

The Guidelines including the PPH request form to be used by Russian applicants are available on our website.

Under the PCT-Patent Prosecution Highway, an applicant receiving a written opinion or an international preliminary examination report from ROSPATENT that at least one claim in a PCT application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability may request that the DKPTO fast track the examination of corresponding claims in corresponding applications.

The Guidelines including the PCT-PPH form to be used is available on our website.

Both Patent Prosecution Highway programs will leverage fast-track patent examination procedures at the DKPTO and ROSPATENT to allow applicants in Denmark and the Russian Federation to obtain corresponding patents faster and more efficiently.
