PPH program between China and Denmark extended
The State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C. (SIPO) and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) agreed to extend the current pilot programs for a two-year period, ending on 31 December 2015.
Under the Patent Prosecution Highway program, an applicant receiving an Office Action from the DKPTO or SIPO stating that claims in a patent application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability may request that the other patent office fast track the examination of corresponding claims in the corresponding applications.
Similarly, under the PCT Patent Prosecution Highway program, an applicant receiving an Office Action from the SIPO acting as an international searching authority stating that at least one claim in a PCT patent application has novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability may request that the DKPTO fast track the examination of corresponding claims in the corresponding applications entering national phase in Denmark.
These Patent Prosecution Highway programs will leverage fast-track patent examination procedures at the DKPTO and SIPO to allow applicants in Denmark and Israel to obtain corresponding patents in faster and more efficiently.
The guidelines for using the PPH and PCT-PPH program can be found here.
