New support scheme for micro-enterprises to open soon

Published 30-04-2025

As part of the entrepreneurship strategy, the government has introduced a new support scheme where micro-enterprises can apply for help and financial funding in relation to trademark and design registration.

The new IP fast track scheme offers micro-enterprises starter packages with help and financial support for registering trademark and design rights.

Experience has shown that support schemes for Danish SMEs have sold out fast.

Therefore, micro-enterprises and entrepreneurs interested in applying for the IP starter packages can already learn more about the scheme now

Protecting the business

With the IP fast track scheme, more Danish companies will have the opportunity to get started with strengthening and protecting their business through trademark or design registration. This will put them in a stronger position when raising capital and protecting their brand, name, and logo against copycats.

Additionally, the scheme raises awareness in the IP area, hopefully inspiring more companies to consider the use of IP rights. This way, the support scheme also contributes to highlighting the importance and value of trademark and design rights, which can contribute to increased growth and more jobs.

IP fast track opens for applications in May

The scheme opens for applications on 8 May 2025 at 9.00 AM. Applications should be submitted through Business Hub North Jutland (Erhvervshus Nordjylland).

Before the company applies for IP starter packages, individual guidance from the Danish Patent and Trademark Office is recommended, as this can help the company identifying which relevant offers in the scheme.
