From 1 January 2026, you must therefore use alternative submission systems when filing Danish and international patent applications at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.
Danish Patent Applications
For Danish patent applications, we already offer the online filing system eFiling, which was launched by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office in 2021. We have continuously improved this system with new functionalities based on the feedback which we have received from our users. eFiling will therefore replace eOLF in relation to submission of Danish applications.
Currently, the Danish Patent and Trademark Office is working on a new version of eFiling. This version will, for example, meet the need to share applications among colleagues within a company. It will also include a functionality which allows one employee to prepare the application and another to approve it before submission.
We expect the new version to be ready by the turn of the year.

International Patent Applications (PCT Applications)
For PCT applications, the replacement for eOLF will be ePCT (WIPO). ePCT is the leading system which allows applicants to manage a PCT application at all stages of the international phase.
The system functions both as a submission platform and as a portal where you receive correspondence from the examining/processing PCT authority. Here, you can also track the status of your application and submit documents to the PCT authority.
When using ePCT for submission, you must select the authority you wish to designate as receiving office. For Danish applicants, this will be the Danish Patent and Trademark Office, the EPO, or the International Bureau.
To use ePCT, you must create a WIPO Account.
