The Danish Patent and Trademark Office is looking for a a new Director of Trademarks

Hannah Holm Olsen, Director of Trademarks and Design, is leaving her position at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.

After 7.5 years, Hannah Holm Olsen will be leaving her position at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office by the end of February 2021.Therefore, we are looking for a replacement who is going to set the strategic direction for the Trademarks and Design Department and who will contribute to the overall innovation and growth of businesses in Denmark.

“With skill and great commitment, Hannah has been at the forefront of the trademark and design area. It has been a pleasure working with her, and I wish her all the best with her new challenges” says John Jensen, Deputy Director General of the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.

The new Director of Trademarks and Design will work towards placing intellectual property rights on the political agenda and and making the value of trademarks and design rights visible. In particular, entrepreneurs andc small businesses should, to a much greater extent than the case is today, be aware of the value of protecting their ideas and how IP rights are able to contribute to increasing the value of their business.

Several initiatives in the field of trademarks and designs are on the way, both nationally and internationally. The new Director of Trademarks and Design will continue the work of influencing the development within the trademark and design area for the benefit of the Danish business community.
